Role: Team leader and prime consultant
Ken gained his MA from the Information Science Department at City University in London. He is also an alumnus of the Warwick University Business Innovation and Growth Programme. He is a member (MCLIP) of CILIP, ALA and a committee member of UKSG which exists to connect the knowledge community and encourage the exchange of ideas on scholarly communication. Ken was responsible for the delivery of a previous JISC ebook project which involved extensive engagement (workshops, interviews and focus groups) with a variety of stakeholders (librarians, researchers, students, academics, vendors, publishers). In a novel departure the project provided a totally open, editable by anyone project wiki to both manage and deliver project (Creative Commons licensed) outputs ‘as they happened’. Ken also played a key role in detailed e-resource (including ebook) use case formulations and interviews. He has also advised specific UK HE institutions on strategy, technology infrastructure and issues/challenges including ebooks.
